David Firth is a very original animator. Even when the ideas are surreal or creepy, there is a gleeful pleasure hidden in there somewhere.
National Film Board of Canada animations were shown on BBC2 in the 70s and 80s. My favourite animator was Richard Condie. You can watch his 'Big Snit' and 'Getting Started' here.

LONDON ANIMATION CLUB is a monthly meeting point for animators in London. Not only do they screen work of current animators and film makers who join, but they celebrate the work of veteran British animators - in particular Bob Godfrey, and the writer Stan Hayward who penned one of my favourite Bob Godfrey animated shorts 'Henry 9 til 5'.
